I am Ukrainian. I was born and raised in Ukraine. My country gave me a lot and made me the person I am today.

Since February 24th, life was turned upside down. The events in Ukraine are insane and unbelievable. This shouldn’t be happening in the 21st century.

Bombs and missiles shouldn’t be landing on civilians. People shouldn’t be forced to hide in bomb shelters.

Babies shouldn’t be born in bunkers. My relatives in Ukraine are safe, but it’s hard to consider any place in Ukraine really safe. Being far away from Ukraine makes me feel like there is nothing I can do to help, but there are options for us too.

I’ve never asked people for anything like this in my life and I thought I would never have to. I want ask you to help my country in this terrible time. Please go to the official websites of the Red Cross or UNICEF and donate money. There is also a National Bank of Ukraine page where you can donate directly to Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
